Take the high-speed TGV from Paris (Gare de Lyon) to Avignon TGV — about 2.5–3 hours. From Avignon, it’s a 45-minute drive to Gordes.
Marseille Provence Airport has direct flights from many cities. From there it’s about a 1-hour drive to Gordes.
Gordes has been consistently ranked one of the world’s most beautiful towns — it blends dramatic natural cliffs with timeless human craftsmanship, an abundance of cascading blonde stone houses, medieval architecture, and sweeping valley views, all in a dynamic spectrum that changes with the ambient light.
Getting around: Since Gordes resides within the French countryside, it is in a district of distinct small villages, so having a car is a must to explore the countryside and really experience the ambiance.
